Where the central highlands start, with their **uninhabited pristine nature**, you will board one of our custom-made **Super Trucks** that´s capable of driving across rough snowy terrain thanks to its enormous tires. The drive to the snowmobile base camp at the foot of the **Langjökull Glacier** is a unique Arctic highland experience and the **snowmobile tour** that follows is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. **Ride** across the eternally frozen snow and ice fields of one of the bigger glaciers in the world on a guided snowmobile tour, exploring one of the last true wilderness areas in Europe and indeed the world.  

Join our tour and step aboard one of our **new buses**, fully equipped with **WiFi-connected computer tablets for each guest**. The tablets provide you with a continuous stream of relevant information along the journey with a **GPS-synced Audio Guide**, available in a choice of **10 languages**. Along the tour, our **local hosts** will make your experience comfortable and are happy to answer any questions you might have about our peculiar country. In each seat, you will also find a **USB outlet to charge any of your devices.**

# Explore & walk on an Icelandic glacier

Travel along the south coast of Iceland, visiting the incredible waterfalls of Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss, go hiking on a glacier and then visit the famous Reynisfjara black sand beach on one of the must-do day tours from Reykjavík. The tour starts with a drive through the Hellisheiði mountain pass bringing you through moss-covered lava fields and past geothermal springs down to farmland along the beautiful southern coastline.

  
The first stop will be the stunning Seljalandsfoss waterfall which is one of Iceland's most famous attractions, with a dramatic 60-meter drop. To get a different perspective you can take a walk behind the waterfall into a wide cavern and look through the wall of water. 

The next destination is Skógarfoss waterfall. Up close, you will be able to feel the water spray on your face and you can also climb up the hill (all 527 steps) to see the majestic 60-meter-high waterfall from above and witness the water plummet down on its way to the Atlantic Ocean.

After experiencing the waterfalls, we´ll take a lunch break.

After lunch, we head to the rugged Sólheimajökull Glacier for the highlight of the tour! Sólheimajökull is an outlet glacier that flows from the main ice cap of Mýrdalsjökull where the mighty Katla Volcano rests. You will walk on the glacier, wearing special crampons on your shoes and explore the amazing cracks, crevasses and ice expertly lead by a certified glacier guide.

We will make one final stop before heading back to Reykjavik, at the renowned Reynisfjara, also known as the Black Sand Beach, which was recently added to Trip Advisor´s Top 10 beaches in the world. It´s every photographer's dream, with powerful Atlantic waves crashing on the beach with a backdrop of jagged basalt sea stacks and the huge basalt-column cave.

 SOUTH COAST AND GLACIER TOUR

After your pick-up in Reykjavík in the crack of dawn, we embark on a Super Jeep tour to the South Coast of Iceland. The tour starts along with highway #1 but right before reaching Selfoss, we take a hard left turn up North into the Icelandic Highlands. We will drive into the middle of the Golden Circle, without the stops, and if you are lucky you might be able to see the majestic Geysir spew out the super-heated geothermal water approx. 50 meters up in the air.  
After passing Gullfoss café we head into the highland and make our way to Langjökull Glacier. There, on the outskirts of the Glacier, lies our Glacial Hut where you will suit up in our snowmobile gear for your snowmobile tour. After a brief security lesson with your guide, we head out to enjoy the snowmobile tour. After this eventful tour to the Glacier, we then take a detour to the town of Flúðir for the real Icelandic experience, bathing in hot geothermal water in the beautiful surroundings of the Secret Lagoon. Here we will stop and relax as long as we can before heading back to busy Reykjavík.

Mountaineers "SnoMo" trips are suited for those that have some recreational vehicle experience. You will be provided with a powerful Yamaha Viper snowmobile, a three-cylinder 1000cc machine with approximately 140 horsepower. These snowmobiles have more than double the displacement that we offer in our other non SnoMo tours. These performance snowmobiles are single seated mountain machine monsters capable of literally all snowy terrains.

We do not operate the glacier rush tours with our regular tours and therefore, you will be able to travel faster, further and experience more. Our professional guides will tailor your trip according to weather and terrain and you will experience the glacier-like the locals do on their own performance machines. This tour is the true glacier rush!  
Our friendly and fun-loving guides will give you instructions on how to operate the snowmobile and go over the safety procedures before you set off into the winter wonderland. For this tour, we only use our most skillful and professional guides.

We cannot accommodate two passengers per snowmobile in these tours since the Yamaha Viper snowmobiles are single-riders only.

Glacier Rush – Fast pace snowmobile - SnoMo Glacier rush one hour

The Golden Circle tour allows visitors to get in touch with some of Iceland’s most famous and exciting natural phenomena. Our first stop is at Þingvellir National Park, which is one of Iceland's most significant historical sites. It's the home of Iceland’s first parliament which was founded in 930 AD. From Þingvellir we head along mountain tracks toward the world-renowned geothermal area around Geysir Hot Spring, the one spouting hot spring on Earth after which all other spouting hot springs are named. From there we continue on to Gullfoss (“the Golden waterfall”) where your proximity to its edge is so close you can feel the spray of the glacial water on your face. Next, we kick the action into higher gear to get even closer to Iceland’s nature and go for a one-hour snowmobile tour on Langjökull, Europe’s second-largest glacier.
